We were invited by the American Design Club to create a design object for their souvenir store in the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The design appeals to a mass audience by combining all the “desireable” NYC icons into a frenzied composition. The known & familiar icons lure the customer in, but on closer examination they discover a subversive undercurrent. Additionally, an ambiguous, hidden icon is located close to the underarm seam.
